We are thrilled to have subject matter experts, Dr. Mark Bradbury, and Dr. Kathryn Webb-Farley, from Appalachian State University's MPA Program.
Dr. Mark Bradbury joined the Department of Government and Justice Studies in 2005. He earned a Ph.D. in Public Administration and a M.P.A. from the University of Georgia. He completed his B.A. in Political Science with a Public Administration Concentration from Rhode Island University. Dr. Bradbury is the Director of the Master of Public Administration program and is also the Co-coordinator for the department's Non-profit Administration Certificate. Dr. Bradbury has published peer-reviewed articles in Review of Public Personnel Administration and State and Local Government Review. He has also has numerous professional publications, edited book chapters, and conference presentations.
Dr. Kathryn Webb-Farley joined the Department of Government & Justice Studies in 2014. She received a Ph.D. in 2011 and M.P.I.A. in 2006 from Virginia Tech. Dr. Webb-Farley serves as the Coordinator of our Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management. She has published articles in Administration & Society, VOLUNTAS, Public Organization Review, and the Journal of Appalachian Studies. Previously, she was a Presidential Management Fellow, working primarily with the U.S. Department of Transportation and worked for a number of nonprofits, including the Smithsonian Institution and University of Virginia. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cats, exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, and visiting her family farm in Virginia.
